  • Add-On

Earn your Multi Engine Private or Commercial rating in one of our Diamond DA-42 Twin Stars equipped with a full G1000 glass cockpit and full authority digital engine controls. We have the most advanced multi engine training aircraft in the area! Students completing our program usually earn 10-15 hours in the DA-42 prior to taking their check ride. This course can be completed in 5-7 days depending on the availability of the student. A check ride with our local DPE will be scheduled ahead of time. The program is fast paced and challenging, but our instructors strive to make you a better aviator while progressing towards your goal. Our training philosophy and course will build your aviator's skillset rather than simply teaching you how to pass the check ride.

During this course, you will learn concepts and principles of multi engine flying such as: critical engines, Vmc, emergency procedures, and propeller feathering. You will also study the DA-42 and its systems which include but are not limited to: G1000 avionics suite, Air Data Computer (ADC), Attitude Heading and Reference System (AHRS), Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), Engine Control Unit (ECU), and Anti-Icing. Training in our DA-42s with these advanced systems is a great platform for continuing towards a career in flying turbine aircraft.

    MEI

We also offer Multi Engine Instructor training in the DA-42. Becoming an MEI is a great way to build multi engine time needed to advance in your career. We will ensure you meet the 15 hours of multi engine PIC required for the MEI. For those candidates already holding CFI-Airplane, the MEI can be added in as little as 3-5 days.
